Free Inquiry Post #2 – One-Handed Cuts

After I learned my basic grips, the natural next step was to learn one-handed cuts. These play a part in many other tricks and do a good job of building the hand dexterity I will need in the future. The two cuts that I learned are the Charlier Cut and the Revolution Cut. Here are links to the educational videos that I learned from.

These videos by Lotusinhand are easy to follow and straight to the point because there is no shortcut to learning these apart from practice. I learned the Charlier first because it is simpler and the basis for the Revolution. I had to start slow and dropped a few packets of cards, but I learned the Charlier relatively quickly. There were many more dropped packets when learning the Revolution, but I now have a firm grip on the two of them. Here are some videos of me performing these two moves. The first video is the Charlier, the second is the revolution, and the third is a blooper of me trying to get a good video of the revolution. Enjoy!
