Free Inquiry Post #3 – Aerial

For this week, I decided to learn an aerial card trick. These are often the most flashy because they involve sending a card through the air in some form or another. The trick I chose is called “The Hot Shot,” and it builds off of the one-handed cuts from the prior week. The trick is essentially the same as the charlier cut, but you use your index finger to slide one card out. Then you use your middle finger to bend and release the card, using the stored energy to shoot it to your other hand. This lotusinhand video is what I used to learn the trick.

Here is my video of me doing the trick twice. Right now it is still a bit messy, but the core of the trick is there, and I will continue practicing this trick for consistency and quality.
